This is an impressive piece. Drawings like this are partially why I don't post here anymore and partially why I really want to. I've improved and want to show it off, but feel like I'll never be anywhere near as good as this. Great work!
Well i have to tell you that you are so wrong in your thinking process. There is no shortcuts... the more you practice the more you can do so advice from me is to paint everyday and just try to show it to people. The art which haven't seen sunlight isn't really art. Good luck and don't be afraid of making mistakes, we all do them
Thanks for the advice. I have trouble drawing every day though, it doesn't come as naturally to me as it does to my friends. Painting even less so, I don't think I've even tried digital painting, wouldn't even know where to start.
Probably seems like I'm making a lot of excuses. I dunno, I just find it unnaturally difficult a lot of the time to draw.
Well its up tto you when you will practice but one thing i can tell you is to firsstly start with traditional medium. It will give you much stronger foundation when you start drawing digitally. I frequently catch myself on the fact that even i paint digitally i do it as if it was traditional, i rarely use more than 3 layers ... mostly i just paint on background
I love the blue glow on the armor, it conveys to me a frost or chilling aura to the character. At the same time, the ruggedness of the cliffs and crags with the occasional hint of grass and forest life just really makes the piece. I'm sorry I'm not entirely fond of the character as he is just a bit too close to the foreground rock but, it's better then what I can draw in my Art Studio right now. ;-;
I love it, favorite, and a watch. You earned that Daily Deviation.
